Letterboxing in NJ

Saturday morning I went letterboxing with my daughter and niece. There are a few boxes in the area but most required a bit of hiking. Thankfully one seemed kid friendly and an easy find.
So after breakfast we drove up to Sterling Hill Mining Museum to find the letterbox. I wish we had more time to tour the museum but I made the promise to the girls to do that the next time we come up. I would love to see the fluorescent rocks they have there, I mean I lived there my whole life and had never visited the site before until Saturday.

So after figuring out the right location we found the box!

We showed M how we log the box and even let her have her own copy of the stamp, our stamp, and a special surprise ;) Once we finish with everything I hid the box back where we found it...shhhhhhh, I can't tell you! You'll have to find it yourself!

A is used to me taking random pictures where ever we go but my niece isn't. I kept stopping to take pictures of the mine and she was laughing at me. I guess I'm the crazy, crafty (another entry for another day) fun aunt! Here are a few randoms for you.

I played with some of PW's actions too!

I adore the shot of the two girls together, they look so happy and you captured that moment well :)
