A little history
When my mother was alive, I remember clipping coupons with her. I was probably about 6 years old. Once she passed away, we never used coupons again. Fast forward 15 years later, my husband (then boyfriend) and I moved in together. We lived in northern Virginia where you get the Sunday insert to the Washington Post on Saturdays! It became my mission to save as much money as I could using the coupons I got on Saturday and my Giant bonus card. My husband thought I was insane when I would walk out of the store saving $40! My record savings back in the day was about $54.
Now...
Once my husband's job took a turn for the worse last year, coupons became my best friend again. I searched online for blogs that would help me organize my coupons. Unfortunately that computer has died and I lost all my bookmarks, but I'm thankful to all the women who helped me. My record savings since restarting was $104!

How do you all organize coupons?
I'll post more frugal/couponing tips in the future :)
Updated: Great Question Treasia!
I do carry my binder with me to the grocery store. My weekly routine is to go thru my sales circular and plan my menu using the sales & coupons. I try not to buy items when they are not on sale and/or without a coupon. Of course there are exceptions sometimes but rare. Once I have my shopping list created and my coupons pulled out of the binder, I’m ready to hit the store. The binder comes with me you never know when there may be a manager’s special, unadvertised sale, clearance, etc! I never used to bring it with me but after seeing something on sale and knowing I had a coupon at home that would greatly reduce the price or perhaps it would be free, I bring it!
There have been times when I am in the store and I see someone who has a sale item in their cart where with a coupon it may be free I ask if they have a coupon. If not I pass it along :) They usually comment about how wonderful my system is and do I save a lot of money. Of course I answer YES!!!
Are you following me yet??? If not please do!

I see lots of people using binders these days but I gotta ask. Do you carry the binder into the grocery store? Or just take the coupons you know you will be using? I have got to get a better idea for keeping mine organized. I have already worn out two of the paper coupon holders. LOL.
Great question !! I have updated my post with an answer!!
Thanks for asking.
